Hostel Entertainment and Activities

Elephantbackpacker has been known for its commitment to providing activities and entertainment for its guests. Just check out our facebook group if you don't believe us!

There are planned activities all week round, taking you to Sydney's most well known backpacker bars - but also to Sydney's more illustrious pubs, bars and clubs, ensuring you get a taste of the ‘real Sydney's' nightlife.

Here's an outline of what we have on at the moment:

Monday

scubar! - This is perhaps the most renowned of Sydney's backpacker bars. Every Monday night you'll find some easy listening tunes, travellers from all over the world, games and prizes, and last but not least, scubar's world famous crab racing!

$10 gets you a bus ride to the venue, all you can eat pizza, one free drink, one free bet on the crab race, and a whole lot of fun!

Tuesday

world bar! - One of King's Cross' more famous nightlife locations, World Bar hosts some of Sydney's slickest Dj's, as well as being one of native Sydney's favourite places to go out.

Free entry and some free drinks are included!

Wednesday

Australian movie night!  We select 2 iconic Australian movies for you to watch and ponder.  Eat some popcorn and enjoy!

Thursday

pub crawl - Every Thursday night our entertainment manager will take eager guests on a dizzying romp'n'stomp through some of the coolest streets and bars in Sydney.
For $10 you get free entry to all four venues, free drinks at each bar, and a night to remember!

Friday

madam de biers - the perfect place to kick off any good night is here, at madame de biers. Having been recently opened, this venue and its staff are seeking to impress, so look forward to a great night, and some interesting stories to tell the next morning.

Located on King's Cross's main drag, Darlinghurst Rd, you'll also have a chance to check out some of the other nearby venues.

Sunday

Every Sunday night the hostel staff  host a rooftop BBQ. For only $3 you get treated to dinner, as well as another opportunity to meet those around you.

Afterwards, our entertainment manager will escort you out for some Sunday night drinks.
