Our Sydney hostel was built in 1894, but now brings a modern funky feel to the grand stylings of another era. Whether you're staying to explore Sydney or just stopping overnight, Elephantbacker offers a pleasurable experience and friendly atmosphere that can't be beaten! All over the hostel you'll find other travellers roaming the halls, from the open air rooftop , open daily for sun worshippers and  the bottom floor where guests mingle amongst the lobby, kitchen, dining hall, and computer rooms. The staff are happy to assist in helping to ensure that your stay is fun and  excitng, and hopfully you will leave with heaps of  new friends and  awsome memories.

Cafe, bar & pizzeria has opened.  Enjoy our funky new Cafe/Bar where you can meet your friends, eat a meal or just relax  with a coffee or beer while sending all  those long awaited emails to family and friends.

  • Airport pick up for guests is available at your own cost.  Pick up times are between 6 am - 7pm only
  • Shuttle service from Hostel to Airport from 5 am - 7 pm at a cost to yourself of $12.00
