Elephantbackpacker is located in Woolloomooloo, a niche in the heart of Sydney. It is a cosmopolitan part of the thriving city, only a short distance away from the most well known, and bustling hotspots. It borders Sydney's beautiful Hyde Park and Botanical Gardens,

Being centrally located means that the Cities most famous attractions such as Sydney Tower, Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House and Darling Harbour are no more than a 5 minute walk away.

Finger Wharf

From Harbour City you can walk to the Finger Wharf with its variety of restaurants, pubs and shops.

Kings Cross

The hostel is also situated minutes away from King's Cross, the heartland of Sydney's nightlife. Oxford St

Oxford St, the centre of Australia's gay community, hosts the world renowned, annual Mardi Gras, as well as playing host to a number of gay and lesbian nightclubs and bars open throughout the week. Oxford St is more than just a mecca for the gay and lesbian community however. On a weekly basis people of all sexualities call Oxford St there No. 1 spot to go out, with nightclubs, shops and attractions of all kinds lining the street, and with people of all ages and types spilling out onto the busy footpath. Less than a ten minute walk away!

Museums, Art Galleries, and Libraries

Elephantbackpacker is located just a short walk away from the Art Gallery of New South Wales, the Australian Museum, The State Library and even the Museum of Contemporary Art. If you fancy a taste of the Artistic and Intellectual side of Sydney then be sure to give some of these places a visit.
